I have found a new {TRADITION} for the upcoming holiday and I am super excited about it!
Ta-da! Valentine chair backers! I’m excited for Valentines morning when the girls wake up and see a Valentines bag on the back of their chair with little goodies in it. So far I’ve got Valentines socks and sunglasses (Macey favorite thing in the whole world) from the dollar spot at Target. I’m thinking of maybe getting some Valentines t-shirts (if I can find some for super cheap, or make them) with hairbows and a box of chocolates, and a box of conversation hearts. It wouldn’t be Valentines without conversation hearts. I’ll have to hit up the dollar store and see what fun things I can find to put in their little bags.
The pattern from OurScoop is super easy to follow.
Straps in the back to attach it to the chair. I cheaped out and didn’t buy button covers for the back buttons – and ya know what, I think I like it better that way.
{CUTE} hearts liner.
I hope this will be a fun tradition that lasts until they move out of the house!
Macey’s going to love this! Do you remember how dad used to doorbell ditch our house and leave stuff from our “secret valentines?”
Yes, I do! Dad was the best “secret valentines” ever! He gave the good chocolates too! 🙂
Wow. I thought I was doing well with Valentine’s folders (the kids decorated yellow file folders) one year. I’m not sure boys would appreciate your adorable chair bags as much as your girls will. Very fun!
Just bought a sewing machine yesterday! I am not sure if this too much to start off with (I used to sew) but omg, I love these!!!

Cute, I love your chairbackers!! I made some chairbackers as well, and hope it will be a fun tradition! You can see mine at http://ladybirdln.blogspot.com/2011/01/valentines-day-chair-backer.html Happy Crafting!
found you on Tatertots and Jello- Love the idea. I have boys, but my middle son has been talking about Valentines day since early December (he is 5 and a true romantic) I think I may do a spin off this and make similar (less girly) bags to hang and encourage the family to leave nice notes or pictures for each other, to open on V-day
These are amazing!!! I would’ve died to have had one of these as a kid. So precious.
Found you through Tater Tots and Jello and I’m thrilled to have found you 🙂 I love the idea of valentine chair backs… It’s not something I can do this year, but definitely an idea for the future! Thanks for sharing 🙂

OH’ MY’ these are so precious. I adore them, I want some!!!! About 3 years ago i asked my MIL to make me chair packs for my kids, and they are darling same concept. They are all cupcake material with the kids initials on them. They hang from the chairs, and for different holidays I can fill them with goodies. I love your V-Day packs. Come link them up tonight. Hugs, Jen
They look great, I’ve seen something like this before…it might even have been the same one as it looked similar but I ended up making a much easier no sew version because my sewing skills are not as advanced as yours.
These are just so cute! I’m sure the kids will love them – what a great tradition! Makes me really wish I could sew!
What a great idea! I’m loving your new tradition. I HAVE to remember this for when I have kids….
